Julie Sedens is a graphic designer and creative leader with over 20 years experience in both print and digital mediums.

By day, I'm a creative problem solver. By night, I'm a mom to a 10-year-old. Both require equal amounts of patience and strategy – and sometimes hand holding.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, I was laid off from the firm I worked at for 20 years. During that time, I held multiple roles, wore various hats and met some lifelong friends. My work ranged from design to web to social media to project management - for clients across multiple business lines. Even though I’m sad to have left a place that was home to me for so many years, it gives me the chance to move my career down a new path, and try new things.

What does that path look like? Well, I’m building it as I go. I know it includes strengthening my UX design skills and incorporating that type of work into my daily work life. I am currently taking my 5th course towards a UX Designer certificate, and I’ve also been partnering with new companies and working in new industries to expand my range and experience.
